Grandmas Chocolate Cake Turned Vegan! 


3 Cups Flour
5 Tablespoons Cacao Powder
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder 
2 1/4 Teaspoons Baking Soda
1/4 Cup Vegetable Oil
1 ripe Mashed Avocado
1 1/2 Cups Water
2 1/2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
2 Tablespoons white vinegar
1 1/2 Cups Maple Syrup


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees,
  2. Mash avocado until smooth no lumps (lumps taste bitter after cooked).
  3. In a large bowl whisk first 5 ingredients until combined.
  4. Make a well in the middle of the dry ingredients and add the last 6 ingredients. (wet ingredients) 
  5. With an electric hand mixer, blend until everything is fully combined.
  6. Spray a baking dish with non-stick spray or rub a little bit of vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  7. Bake for 20 min. Insert a toothpick, if it comes out clean it is done! if it is sticky bake another 5 min and check again.

Chocolate Drizzle:

1/4 cup chocolate chips
1 teaspoon coconut oil


  1. In a microwave-safe bowl combine chocolate chips and coconut oil.
  2. Cook in a microwave for 45 seconds
  3. Stir until no lumps appear. if chocolate is not melted put back in microwave for 30 seconds.
